Dec 16, 2017 · Figured I would try to check my timing so I threw an allen wrench on the crankshaft gear on the right side and tried to line the marks up, looked at the cam gear marks and they were off. With this being said, on the right side the arrow is lined up dead nuts with the punch on the gear and the cam marks are flat with the head. Which is correct. For Honda, and most others, bikes the crank rotates in the same direction as the wheels, so the "| |" marks will appear first, then the "F" mark, and lastly the "T" mark.
